Mamaw's famous Apple Butter Recipe

This is delicious with fresh baked biscuits or try it with fried biscuits.

SlowCooker Apple Butter

apples (enough to fill crock pot)
1 1/2 tbsp vanilla
2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar

Peel, core and slice apples.
2. Put apples and vanilla in slow cooker.
Set on low for 8 hours. I left it overnight.
3. Mash apples and mix in cinnamon and sugars. Continue cooking another 6 hours. Process in blender for a smooth consistency.


 Should make about 6 pints.
