Change is Gonna Come

Vapor locked.

That’s how I feel sometimes.

Like there is a disconnect between desire and motivation.

Like it’s tough to execute the plan.

It’s happened a lot since January 2020.

That’s when the world reset.

Because we heard about this virus in China when we got back from a Florida trip and the crud ran through the house.

First the kid was down with the sickness for a week.

Then his mom.

And despite a ton of hand washing and avoidance, it got me too.

Three weeks out of a month with all of us wiped out.

No hospital trips, but it was the “worst flu” we’d ever had.

A few weeks later, the news starting talking about Covid and we wondered if that’s what we had.

Fast forward through 2020, and we didn’t lock down with the rest of the world.

We just adapted.

Wore masks where required, but we were outside all the time, going out to places still open and even flying on planes four or five times through the year.

We went to Universal and Disney.

Went to beaches.

And never got sick.

Not even the sniffles.

Which makes me wonder if the Jan 2020 crud was the Rona.

And makes me wonder on days like today if I’ve got a form of long haul.

Tired a lot.

Of course, that could just be from staying up three nights a week and getting two hours of sleep on those days.

Dogs don’t understand day sleeping.

Neither do the other two in the house who think if I’m in bed after they are, it’s just lazy.

After all, they don’t “see” me staying up all night.

They’re asleep.

Confusion.

I get going on a project, and get pulled away despite trying to zero in, and then it’s hard to go back.

I get to do lists thrown at me as they’re walking out of the door.

Plus, I just don’t feel right.

It could be the Universe telling me I’m not doing what I’m supposed to do.

Or the to do list is just so long, it feels impossible to accomplish.

It might be the constant rejection.

Or the edge of World War III.

It might be knowledge.

Take gas prices.

They went up almost .50 overnight last week when oil spiked over $120 per barrel.

All based on speculation.

Then oil dropped to just below $100 per barrel five days later.

But the price of gas dipped .03 cents.

I know oil companies are going to post “record” profits.

And you are going to pay for it.

Sometimes it’s not worth getting mad about.

Because how do you change things?

I think I see a play behind what’s going on.

Like the “war” is a distraction to keep us watching in one direction.

While something goes on in the other.

I think it’s a digital currency move.

The ruble is dead.  Russia gets pushed into the new Chinese digital currency introduced in January in an effort to become the “world” standard.

Biden just released an order for the US to examine a move into digital currency AND JP Morgan introduced their own coin backed by Blackrock.

Remember when we talked about crypto over a year ago?

That was all just practice.

Pestilence. War. Famine.

Three of the four horsemen of the apocalypse which precede Death.

Death of an empire, of a way of life, or just an old way of doing things.

If the old way is board of directors getting rich off you, then maybe saying good bye to them is a good thing.

But changing systems and ways of life can make things confusing.

Saying a long good bye can be tiring.

Exhausting.

What if we embraced the change?

What if we decided to make the change?

I’m not sure how.

Yet.

It’s going to take study. Knowledge.

Preparation.

But if you know what’s coming, if you know something is coming, then you can start to be ready for it.

Are you ready to turn and face the strange?

Time may change us.

But we can’t trace time.

(go listen to David Bowie to get your mind right and ripe.)

Cheers,

Chris
