A Christmas Poem for You
A Christmas Poem for You
The winter air is crisp and cold,
The trees are bare and stark,
But in the hearts of young and old
A spark of hope does kindle.
For Christmas time is here again,
A time of love and joy,
A time to give and to receive,
A time to make a new start.
The streets are lined with twinkling lights,
The houses decked with holly,
The carolers sing through the night,
Their voices sweet and jolly.
The children's eyes are bright with glee,
As they hang their stockings with care,
For they know that Santa will soon be here,
With presents for them to share.
The adults, too, are filled with cheer,
As they gather round the tree,
To exchange gifts and love and cheer,
With family and friends, so dear.
But Christmas is not just about the gifts,
It's about the love that's in our hearts,
It's about the joy that it brings,
To all the people, near and far.
So let us celebrate this joyous day,
With love and laughter, food and cheer,
For Christmas is a time to say,
"Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!"
